Alright, so I've got a bit of a head scratcher with my 2016 Mini Clubman diesel. It's got about 78538 km on the clock. I'm getting a fault in the lighting system. Basically, the lights switch on seemingly at random, and there's an error stored in the error memory. I've done some digging, and I'm suspecting it might be a defective cable or plug connection somewhere in the system. Anyone else had a similar electrical problem, maybe related to the automotive switch itself? Any ideas where to start poking around before I end up at the workshop?

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar electrical problem with my lights a while back. I'd check the fuse box first, make sure none of the fuses related to the lights are blown. Yeah, mine was doing the same thing with the main lights. No flickering or anything with the dashboard lights, just the headlights cutting in and out.
