Mini Clubman massage seat issue
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Mini Clubman owner reported an issue with the massage seat switch not functioning, with a diagnostic scan indicating a potential defective cable or plug connection. Suggestions included checking the fuse for the seat motor and inspecting the seat harness for broken wires. Ultimately, the problem was resolved at a workshop, confirming a faulty connection as the cause.

Fuse, huh? Where would I find that? I'm not really good with electrics, so I wouldn't even know what I'm looking for, to be honest. And seat harness, what is that exactly?

Yeah, the fuse box location should be in your owner's manual. The seat harness is basically a bundle of wires that runs under the seat, connecting all the electrical components like the seat motor and the switch for your massage function. If you're not comfortable poking around with electrical stuff, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. Sounds like they already have a good idea of what the problem is, and 95€ isn't too bad.

Just wanted to let you know I got it sorted. Took it to the workshop, and it was indeed a faulty connection, like they suspected. 95€ later and my backside is happy again! Thanks for the help!

Electrical issues are a pain! I had a similar problem with the lumbar support in my old Volvo. Turned out to be a broken wire in the seat harness. Have you checked the fuse for the seat motor? Sometimes it's the simple things.
