Mini Clubman radar sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Mini Clubman displayed an error message related to the radar sensor in the speedometer, causing other systems to fail and triggering a warning light. The issue was suspected to be due to a dirty sensor. Cleaning the sensor resolved the problem, and the error message disappeared after the workshop intervention.

Thanks for the input. When you say cleaning, what exactly do you mean? Just wiping it down with a cloth? And where exactly is the sensor located? Is radar calibration needed afterwards?

Yes, I meant just wiping it down, but be gentle. As for the location, it's usually behind the front bumper. Radar calibration might be needed, depending on the car's system. But honestly, I'd just take it to a workshop to be safe. They'll diagnose it properly.

Just wanted to give a quick update. It was indeed a dirty sensor. The workshop cleaned it, and the error is gone. Cost me 45€. Thanks for the help!

That sounds like an automotive sensors issue I had with my old Peugeot. The collision avoidance system went haywire. Is it showing any other electronic issue besides the speedometer error? It might be a sensor failure, like when a light bulb blows. Have you tried cleaning the sensor?
