Mini Clubman Stalling and Power Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Mini Clubman is experiencing stalling at idle, power loss, and an illuminated check engine light. The suspected cause is a faulty fuel pressure regulator, potentially linked to a recent fuel filter change. Replacing the fuel pressure regulator resolved the issues, restoring the vehicle's performance.

So, your Mini Clubman had similar symptoms? What exactly went wrong? And did you get any error codes related to engine misfire or problems with the fuel rail?

Yeah, the symptoms sound very alike. It started with a rough idle, then some stalling. Eventually, the reduced engine power became very noticeable. I didn't get into the details myself. I brought it to a shop and they told me it was the fuel regulator.

Just wanted to update this thread. Turns out it was indeed the fuel pressure regulator. Replaced it myself, cost me around 45€ for the part. Runs like a champ now. Thanks for the input. I had error entries because I changed the fuel filter just before the issue occurred.

A faulty fuel pressure regulator could cause those symptoms. I had something similar happen, though my check engine light didn't come on right away. Does it happen more when the engine is cold?
