Mini Clubman temperature issues

Whoa, that sounds rough! Incorrect temps, check engine light, and slow warm-up? Have you checked the fuse box diagram? Some models have a dedicated fuse for the active grille shutter system, which manages engine cooling. A blown fuse there could cause restricted airflow and trigger those symptoms. It's a cheap and easy thing to check before diving into bigger problems!

Okay, cool, a fuse for the active grille shutter system? Where exactly would I find that? I'm not exactly a mechanic, but I can handle swapping a fuse if I know where to look. Any chance you know which one it is on my Mini Clubman? I really don't want to end up causing more issues!

Yep, sounds like the active grille fuse to me. I don't know the exact fuse number on your Clubman, and it can vary. Check your owner's manual for the fuse diagram; it should be listed there. If you can't find it or are not comfortable messing with it, better to take it to a workshop. Replacing it yourself is easy, but if it blows again immediately, that's a sign of a short, and you definitely want a professional to look at that. It could be a restricted airflow problem, but the fuse is the place to start.

Dude, you nailed it! Took my Mini Clubman to the shop, and guess what? The cooling grille fuse was busted. 52€ later, and she's running like a dream. No more engine cooling issues or overheating. Thanks a million for pointing me in the right direction!
