Mini Clubman Washer Fluid Issue

I encountered a similar problem on my Skoda Octavia a while ago. The 'washer fluid low' warning kept appearing even after I had filled the reservoir. Does the error memory show any specific codes related to the windshield washer system? Also, have you checked the pump itself to see if it's making any noise when you activate the windshield cleaning system? It could be a faulty pump or a clogged line.

Interesting! No specific codes, just the generic 'washer fluid low' warning. I can't hear the pump at all when I try to use the windshield washer. Where is the pump located, anyway? Is it easy to get to?

Indeed, the pump not making any noise is quite telling. On my Skoda, the pump was integrated with the washer fluid reservoir. I would recommend consulting your Mini's repair manual or a reliable online resource to pinpoint its exact location. While it might be tempting to tackle this yourself, given the electrical components involved, it might be prudent to take it to a qualified workshop for diagnosis and repair. They can accurately test the pump and wiring.

Okay, just got back from the workshop. Turns out it was a faulty sensor on the washer fluid reservoir. New sensor and a top-up of wiper fluid and it's all sorted! Cost me about 25€. Thanks a bunch for your help, I was starting to panic that it was something serious!
