Mini Clubman Washer System Issue

I had a similar issue with my Mini Countryman. It sounds like you have a fault in the headlight cleaning system, which, interestingly, can disable the windshield washer system. The Xenon headlights have a separate pump for the cleaning system. I would recommend checking the relay and the pump's cable connection itself. A defective connection is a common cause.

Yes, with relay I mean the electrical relay. It's often located in the fuse box in the engine compartment, but check your car's manual for the exact location. As for the pump, it's usually near the washer fluid reservoir. Access can be a bit tight, so you might need to remove some parts to get to the cable connection.
