Thanks for the quick reply! When you say relay, where exactly is that located? And when you mention checking the pump's cable connection, is that easy to access without taking half the car apart?

Yes, with relay I mean the electrical relay. It's often located in the fuse box in the engine compartment, but check your car's manual for the exact location. As for the pump, it's usually near the washer fluid reservoir. Access can be a bit tight, so you might need to remove some parts to get to the cable connection. Honestly, if you're not comfortable with electrical systems, I'd advise taking it to a workshop to avoid causing further damage. A malfunction like this can sometimes be tricky to diagnose.

Well, just wanted to let you know that the Mini Clubman is fixed. As suspected, it was the cable connection. Total cost was 165€. Thanks again for your help!

I had a similar issue with my Mini Countryman. It sounds like you have a fault in the headlight cleaning system, which, interestingly, can disable the windshield washer system. The Xenon headlights have a separate pump for the cleaning system. I would recommend checking the relay and the pump's cable connection itself. A defective connection is a common cause.
