Mini Cooper engine issues

Fuel pump relay is a good shout, hadn't considered that. Where is the fuel pump relay located on a Mini Cooper, and how would I test it? Also, when you say fuel delivery stable, what exactly do you mean? Like, what should I be looking for?

The fuel pump relay location should be in the fuse box, check your owner's manual for the exact location. For the fuel delivery, I mean is it consistent? A faulty fuel injector can cause a bad fuel delivery. Honestly, with those symptoms, I'd take it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose the fuel pressure and fuel trims. Could save you time and money in the long run!

Just wanted to update you. It was indeed the fuel pressure sensor. The cable and plug connection were corroded, just like we suspected. Replaced the sensor and cleaned up the connection. Runs like a champ now. Total damage was 95€ for the sensor and labour. Thanks for the help!

Whoa, sounds rough! I had similar engine stalling issues with my old Renault Megane. Check engine light, rough idle, the whole shebang. Have you checked your fuel pump relay? It might be worth a look before you dive into replacing the whole fuel pump. Is the fuel delivery stable?
