Thanks for the quick response. When you say 'check the connectors,' what exactly am I looking for? And how would I know if the auto-leveling system is trying to do anything? Is there a specific sound or movement I should be looking for?

Okay, so you've checked the obvious stuff, right? If the connectors are good and the headlight switch seems fine, it's likely a defective servomotor in the headlight assembly itself, which controls the auto-leveling. Sadly, that usually means a trip to the shop for proper diagnostics and repair. Think you can handle that?

Just wanted to update you - took the Mini to a shop. They confirmed the servomotor issue in the headlight. Cost me 1040€ to get it sorted. Thanks for the help!

Headlight range control fault, huh? First thing I'd check are the electrical connectors to the headlight assembly itself. Make sure they're clean and properly seated. Have you had a look at the headlight switch? Is the auto-leveling system even trying to do anything? What happens if you manually adjust the headlight?
