Mini Cooper lean running issues
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Mini Cooper is experiencing lean running issues, characterized by reduced engine power, a check engine light, rough running, and jerking during acceleration. The suspected cause is a defective fuel injector. Suggestions include checking the fuel injectors, EGR valve, throttle body for carbon buildup, and possibly the spark plugs. Replacing the faulty fuel injector resolved the issue, restoring the car's performance.

Codes were pointing to lean condition bank 1. You mention the EGR valve and fuel injectors. Did you have the same error code, and did replacing the injectors solve it? Was there anything else involved?

Yep, similar code. Injectors fixed it for me, though I'd still suggest a proper diagnostic. Might also be worth checking spark plugs if they haven't been changed recently. If it is the injectors, consider doing all of them. Otherwise, a trip to the workshop might be unavoidable.

It was indeed a faulty fuel injector. Replaced all four, and she's running like new. Total cost 515€. Thanks for the input!

Sounds like what happened to my Cooper. Check engine light and all. Any codes related to lean running? I'd start by checking the fuel injectors and maybe even the EGR valve. Have you inspected the throttle body for carbon buildup?
