Mini Cooper Washer Fluid Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Mini Cooper diesel was experiencing a washer fluid low warning and a non-functional windshield washer system, with an error stored in the memory. The issue was suspected to be related to the wiper water level or a faulty sensor. After checking, it was confirmed that the problem was due to low washer fluid, and refilling it resolved the issue, turning off the warning light and restoring the system's functionality.

A faulty sensor, huh? Where exactly is that sensor located? Is it easy to get to?

Yeah, that's how it went for me. Light, then nothing. I'm no mechanic, but I think the sensor is part of the washer fluid reservoir. I ended up just taking it to a workshop. They sorted it out quick.

Thanks for the tip. Turns out the wiper water level was indeed too low. Dashboard light is off now and spray jets are working again. 25€ repair cost.

Sounds familiar! Had a similar issue with my old Renault. Did the dashboard light come on, and then the whole wiper system just quit? For me, it was a faulty sensor. Maybe check if that's the problem?
