When you mention power failure, are you referring to a complete loss of power or a voltage drop? I'm also not clear about the alarm control unit. Is it easily accessible, and what should I be looking for?

Sorry, by power failure, I meant a voltage drop, a brief interruption in the electrical supply to the alarm system. The alarm control unit, often called the ECU, is the brain of the system. It monitors the sensors and triggers the alarm. It's not exactly easily accessible; you'd probably need to remove some trim panels. Honestly, if you are not familiar, I would bring it to a workshop.

Understood. The error was related to the alarm system being configured to activate optical locking. The coding was corrected, and the system is now functioning normally. The cost was as expected. Thank you for your assistance.

Interesting. I've got a similar Mini Countryman, though not diesel. I experienced something like that, random false alarm issues. Have you checked the alarm sensor connections? Sometimes a slight power failure can trigger the security alarm. Also, what about the alarm control unit itself?
