Mini Countryman cruise control malfunction

Ugh, my 2018 Mini Countryman Hybrid is giving me grief! The cruise control just stopped working. There's an error message showing up in the speedometer, and the error memory confirms it's non-functional. I'm guessing it's a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone seen this before?

I had a similar problem with my Countryman, although I don't remember the exact error message. I would start by checking the fuse box, just in case it's something simple. Car electronics can be sensitive. Has the steering wheel been feeling normal?

Where is the fuse box located, and which fuse should I check? I'm not really familiar with car electronics. When you say 'steering wheel feeling normal' what kind of issues could it have?

The fuse box location should be in your owner's manual. As for the steering wheel, a faulty system might affect other functions. If the fuse is okay, it's probably best to have a workshop take a look. Could be a more complex issue than just a fuse.

Just wanted to update you: it was indeed a defective plug connection, like I suspected. 95€ later and the cruise control on my Countryman is working again! Thanks for the advice.
