Did the Volvo's door sensor behave similarly? Specifically, were you unable to lock or unlock the doors at all?

Yes, I couldn't lock or unlock the doors. Definitely sounds like an electrical issue. In my case, the dealer confirmed it and got it fixed pretty quickly. Best to get it to a workshop.

Faulty door contact signal confirmed. Cable and plug connection were indeed defective. Repair cost 95€. Thanks for the input.

That sounds similar to an issue I had with my old Volvo. The automatic locks went haywire, and the car alarm would out of nowhere trigger. Was it an electrical issue as well?
