Mini Countryman Electric System Readiness Check Incomplete

Thanks for the quick response! I did check the I/M monitors and, like you said, a couple were showing as 'not ready'. I tried a generic drive cycle, but it didn't seem to do the trick. You mentioned a specific Mini drive cycle procedure where can I find more information about that? Is it something I can do myself, or will I need specialized equipment?

Yes, that sounds exactly like what happened to me. The Mini drive cycle can be a bit specific, and honestly, I never managed to get it to work perfectly myself. I would recommend taking it to a workshop. They have the tools to force the system readiness and clear the error. It shouldn't be a major job.

Just wanted to update this thread. I took your advice and brought it into the workshop. Turns out, even though I hadn't cleared any codes myself, the OBD readiness monitors hadn't fully completed their cycles since the last time diagnostics were run. They performed a system reset and after a short drive, the system readiness check completed. No cost, and everything is working as it should. Thanks for the help!

System readiness issues after an OBD2 readout are not uncommon, I had a similar experience with my Countryman. Did you check the I/M monitors with your OBD2 scanner? Some monitors might not be ready, like the catalyst or EVAP. Typically, a drive cycle will reset everything, but it can be a pain. Have you tried following the Mini drive cycle procedure?
