Mini Countryman Hybrid Battery Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Mini Countryman Hybrid was experiencing a "battery heavily discharged" error, weak and flickering lights, and difficulty starting the engine. The issue was suspected to be caused by a defective battery sensor, which can lead to incorrect battery charging. After replacing the battery sensor at a workshop, the problem was resolved, and the vehicle returned to normal operation.

If the battery itself is fine, what else could cause these symptoms in my Countryman?

A defective battery sensor is a likely cause. It can lead to incorrect battery charging and those symptoms. If the battery itself seems okay, the sensor is the next thing to check. Probably best to get it diagnosed at a workshop to confirm.

Thank you for your help. It turned out to be the battery sensor, just like you suspected. Had it replaced at the workshop, and the error is gone. Cost me 315€, but now everything is working perfectly again.

Sounds like a low battery issue. Have you checked the vehicle battery terminals for corrosion? Also, how old is the battery? A discharged battery can cause all sorts of weird electrical problems.
