Thank you for your response. Yes, by 'error memory' I am indeed referring to the vehicle's on-board diagnostic system. The sensor issue is persistent. Regarding your question about other unusual electrical behavior, could you please elaborate on what specific issues I should be looking for?

Understood. Given that the sensor issue is persistent and the on-board diagnostic system has flagged a fault, it does seem indicative of an electrical fault as you initially suspected. It is likely that the cable connection is indeed the culprit. It might be prudent to seek assistance from a qualified workshop.

I appreciate the insights you have offered. I can confirm that, following vehicle diagnostics at the workshop, the cable connection within the steering wheel was indeed identified as defective. The steering controls are now functioning correctly, and the electrical fault has been rectified. The repair cost amounted to 95€.

It appears you are encountering an issue with your Mini Countryman's steering wheel controls. When you mention 'error memory,' are you referring to the vehicle's on-board diagnostic system? Is the sensor issue persistent, or does it occur intermittently? Have you observed any other unusual electrical behavior within the vehicle?
