Mini Countryman parking aid fault

My 2012 Mini Countryman is showing a parking aid fault. The parking assistant isn't working, and the error memory mentions a defective cable or plug connection. The car only has a low mileage. Could this be the obstacle detection or radar sensors? Any ideas?

A parking aid fault on your Countryman could stem from several issues. Given the error memory points to cable or plug connections, have you inspected the rearview camera and parking sensors for any visible damage or loose connections? Also, does the fault occur intermittently or is it constant?

I haven't checked anything myself. Where exactly should I be looking for these connections? Are they easy to get to?

It is plausible that the issue resides within the wiring or connections related to the parking sensors themselves. Considering your expertise level and the potential complexity of tracing the wiring, a diagnostic check at a qualified workshop may be prudent. They can assess the integrity of the connections and the sensors.

Thanks for the confirmation. I'll get it checked out. The shop confirmed it was faulty wiring and the parking aid is now working again.
