Mini One air suspension issues

I'm having a major headache with my 2019 Mini One. It's got about 61322 km on the clock, and the air suspension seems to have gone bonkers! The car's practically undrivable. It's leaning to one side, won't lift, and the ride is super bumpy. Plus, I'm getting an error message in the speedometer, and the error memory is full of suspension-related faults. From what I've read, it might be a defective suspension air bag valve? Anyone else experienced this? I'm dreading the repair bill, I heard it is about 590€!

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my Mini. The leaning and bumpy ride sound familiar. Have you checked for any obvious signs of an air leak around the suspension air bag? That's where I'd start looking. It could also be a faulty ride height sensor. Hope this helps!

Thanks a lot! How did you find the air leak? Was it obvious, or did you need to use some sort of soapy water trick? Also, where exactly is the ride height sensor located? I'm not too familiar with the air suspension setup, to be honest.

Yeah, for me the air leak wasn't immediately obvious, but after a closer inspection I could hear a slight hissing sound near one of the air springs. As for the ride height sensor, I didn't mess with it myself. If the air suspension bellows valve is defective and causing an air leak, that would definitely explain the leaning and the error messages. Honestly, it sounds like you're on the right track. I'd suggest getting it checked out by a workshop to confirm the diagnosis and get it sorted.

Just wanted to give a final update on this saga! Took my Mini One to the workshop, and you were spot on it was indeed the air suspension bellows valve. Repair cost me 590€, but now it's driving like a dream again! Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it!
