Mini One cruise control malfunction

I had a similar issue with my Mini One, also a gasoline model. The cruise control suddenly stopped working, and I got an error message on the speedometer. It could be a faulty system related to the throttle body or even something with the steering wheel controls. Have you checked the car electronics? A diagnostics check would be a good starting point.

Thanks, that's really helpful! When you mention throttle body or steering wheel controls, are you thinking it's more of a car electronics issue than a mechanical one? And did the diagnostics specifically point to the throttle body or steering wheel, or was it more general?

Yes, in my case, the diagnostics pointed to a cable or plug connection issue. It's like a bad connection in your home's electrical wiring. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop for a thorough check. They can pinpoint the exact location of the fault and fix it properly.

Just wanted to let you know that I got it sorted. You were spot on. The diagnostics pointed to a defective cable or plug connection, just like you thought. Cost me 95€ to get it fixed at the workshop. Thanks a bunch for the help!
