Mini One Diesel Engine Trouble

In my case, the check engine light was illuminated. It was indeed related to a bad connection. It could be a similar problem. Given that you lack the equipment to diagnose and fix this, I would definitely recommend taking it to a workshop to get the battery connections checked. They will also be able to check for any other error codes that might be stored in the ECU.

Thank you for your quick response. I did not notice any other symptoms. The engine light was not on before the car completely failed to start. I do not have the equipment to check the battery voltage myself, nor would I know how. Could this really be the cause?

Just wanted to update you. It turned out that the cable connections of the battery were not good. The workshop cleaned and reconnected them. Seems to have solved the issue. Cost me 155€. Thanks for the advice. Hopefully, this helps someone else in the future.

I had a similar issue with my Mini One. The engine light came on, and the car wouldn't start. The problem was intermittent at first, but then it became permanent. Did you notice any other symptoms before the car completely failed to start? Could you check the battery voltage?
