Thanks for the quick reply! When you say 'properly seated,' what exactly should I be looking for? Is there a way to test the connection without specialized tools?

Think of the fuel pressure sensor like a volume knob on a radio. If the connection is loose or faulty, the signal gets garbled. Since you're not an expert, I would not recommend probing around the sensor, as you could damage the wiring even further. My advice? Take it to a trusted mechanic. They can properly diagnose the connection and sensor, and you'll avoid any unnecessary risks. That way you also get the peace of mind that the issue is properly fixed.

Just wanted to close the loop on this. Took my Mini One to a local shop, and they confirmed it was indeed the fuel pressure sensor. They suspected the cable connection, like you mentioned. Repair cost me 95€, and the car is running smoothly again. Thanks for the help!

Sounds like a fuel delivery issue alright. The check engine light plus rough idle and stalling are classic symptoms. First thing I'd check is the fuel pressure sensor itself and the wiring going to it. Given the jerking when accelerating, it's likely the sensor is sending faulty readings to the ECU. Is the sensor properly seated? Any visible damage to the connector?
