Yeah, I was reading about the ignition coil and spark plugs too. You mentioned it was the fuel injector for you in the end. Was it obvious when they checked it, or did they have to do a bunch of tests to figure it out?

They ran some diagnostics and pinpointed it pretty quickly. Since you're getting misfires, a faulty fuel injector is a strong possibility. If you aren't comfortable doing the work yourself, I'd suggest taking it to a trusted workshop to get it properly diagnosed and fixed.

Took my Mini One to the workshop. Turns out it was a faulty fuel injector, just like you thought! Cost me 515€ to get it sorted. Runs like a dream now. Thanks for your help!

Sounds familiar! I had similar issues with my Mini, though it's not a One. Rough running, check engine light...the whole shebang. For me, it was also combustion misfires. Have you checked your ignition coil or spark plugs? Bad throttle response can point to those too. Could be a fuel injector issue as well, but those are usually pricier to fix.
