Summary of the thread

Thanks for the quick response. The error message is not very specific, only that there is a fault in the lighting. How can I check the dimmer switch and tail lights for an electrical problem? Is there a specific procedure to follow?

Based on your description and the error code, a defective cable or plug connection is the likely cause. I had a similar electrical problem with my car once, and it turned out to be a corroded connector. However, tracing electrical faults can be time-consuming. I would recommend taking it to a workshop.

Thank you for the confirmation. The issue was indeed the cable or plug connection of the component. The car lighting was repaired at the workshop for 95€.

Faulty light switches can be tricky. Have you checked the dimmer switch? Sometimes a bad dimmer can cause strange lighting issues, including affecting the tail lights. Does the error memory specify which car switch is causing the problem?
