Mini One system readiness issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Mini One is experiencing a system readiness issue after using an OBD2 scanner, resulting in an error message on the speedometer. The problem may be due to incomplete system readiness following diagnostics. A suggested solution is to perform a proper drive cycle to allow the onboard diagnostics to complete, which resolved the issue without additional costs and enabled passing the vehicle inspection.

Yes, I experienced the exact same thing. The drive cycle can be a pain. If it's still showing incomplete after that many kilometers, it might be worth a visit to the workshop. They might have more sophisticated diagnostic tools to force the system readiness or identify other underlying problems.

Interesting. How long did you have to drive it for? I've done about 80 kilometers since the OBD2 read, but the error message in the speedometer is still there and the system readiness check is still incomplete.

Thanks for the insight. It turns out the system readiness wasn't actually complete. I performed a proper drive cycle and that cleared it. No cost involved luckily, and I can now pass vehicle inspection.

I had something similar on my Mini One. The check engine light was on, and the system readiness was incomplete after an OBD2 scan. Have you tried driving it for a bit? Sometimes it just needs to complete its onboard diagnostics.
