Mini One Transmission and Check Engine Light Issues

My 2004 Mini One has an odd issue. The transmission indicator light and check engine light are both on. The automatic transmission is stuck in emergency mode, shifts are unclean, and I'm hearing grinding noises. Error memory says radiator oil pressure defective. I suspect a cable or plug connection issue. Any ideas?

I had something similar happen with my Mini One. Transmission indicator light, check engine light, the whole shebang. Emergency mode is no fun. Did you check the radiator repair itself? Maybe the pressure gauge is acting up, affecting the cooling system?

Radiator repair? I was leaning towards the pressure sensor itself. What exactly was your issue? Was it just a faulty reading?

Yeah, it started with similar symptoms. Turned out the pressure sensor cable was damaged, sending incorrect readings. It might be worth checking the cable and plug connection first, but honestly, a workshop might be best to diagnose it properly.

Thanks, that's helpful. Turns out it was indeed a defective cable to the radiator coolant pressure sensor. Replaced it for 95€, and everything seems fine now.
