Mini One Turbo Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Mini One was experiencing issues such as a check engine light, jerking during acceleration, a whistling noise, a loud hissing sound, engine stalling at idle, increased fuel consumption, and reduced power. These symptoms suggested a problem with the turbo boost pressure sensor, possibly due to a defective cable or plug connection. After inspecting and repairing the connection, the vehicle's performance returned to normal.

Interesting! When you say 'pressure sensor', are we talking about the turbocharger boost sensor? Where exactly is that located, and how can I check the connection?

Yes, I am referring to the turbocharger boost sensor. It's typically located on the air intake manifold, or close to the turbocharger itself. Inspect the cable and plug connection for corrosion, loose wires, or any signs of damage. However, due to the potential impact on engine performance, consider visiting a workshop.

You nailed it! I took my Mini One to the shop, and the mechanic confirmed it was a dodgy connection on the turbo boost pressure sensor. 95€ later, and she's running like new. Thanks for the help!

Sounds like you're experiencing a classic turbo boost issue. I had something similar with my Mini a while back. The check engine light, jerking, and hissing are all telltale signs. Have you checked the pressure sensor itself and the wiring around it? A faulty connection there can definitely cause those symptoms.
