Mini Paceman AC Issues

My 2015 Mini Paceman diesel is throwing a curveball. The air conditioning has completely stopped cooling. There's an error stored in the memory, the AC won't switch on, and the warning light is illuminated. I've checked the basics, and based on the diagnostics, I'm pretty sure it's a defective air conditioning control unit causing the AC compressor to fail. Anyone else experienced this before?

Sounds like a bummer. Are you sure it's the AC control unit and not just low refrigerant? Have you had the system pressure tested?

What exactly does the AC control unit do, though? Just curious about the details before I commit to the automotive cooling repair.

System pressure was tested and confirmed okay. The error code points directly to the AC control unit, and that the AC compressor isn't getting the signal to engage.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I've booked the Paceman in for an air conditioning repair at a workshop. The estimate is around 980€, which seems fair considering the diagnosis – faulty AC control unit. Hopefully, this will resolve the cooling system issues once and for all.
