Mini Paceman AdBlue Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Mini Paceman Diesel is experiencing a persistent dashboard alert indicating an empty AdBlue tank, despite it being full, and the engine won't start. The suspected cause is a defective AdBlue output from the tank to the injection system. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle checked by a workshop to confirm the diagnosis and replace the faulty part, which resolved the issue in a similar case.

Interesting. I hadn't really paid attention to the fuel efficiency beforehand. As for the AdBlue tank capacity, I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's close to yours. Could you elaborate a bit more on what exactly fixed the issue for you?

Yep, sounds like the same gremlin I battled. Ultimately, the issue was exactly as you suspect – a faulty AdBlue output from the tank to the dosing unit. I'd recommend getting it checked out by a workshop. They'll probably confirm the diagnosis and replace the defective part. Better safe than sorry, especially with the injection system involved.

Just wanted to give a quick update. You were spot on! Took the Paceman to the workshop, and it was indeed the AdBlue output from the tank. They replaced it for 250€, and the dashboard alert is gone. Engine starts fine now, and hopefully, the emissions control will be back to normal. Thanks for your help!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Mini Paceman Diesel. The dashboard alert was driving me crazy. Did you notice any change in fuel efficiency before the problem became apparent? Also, what's the tank capacity of your AdBlue tank? Mine is around 5 gallons.
