Thank you for your response. I appreciate the suggestions, and I will check the fuse first. When you had a similar issue with your Mini, was the defective cable or plug connection obvious upon visual inspection, or did it require more detailed troubleshooting to identify?

In my case, the cable damage was not immediately obvious. The connector showed some corrosion upon closer inspection, but it required testing with a multimeter to confirm the break in the circuit. If you suspect a connection issue, I suggest carefully examining all the wiring and connectors associated with the air suspension compressor. Check for any signs of corrosion, damage, or loose connections. While you might be able to resolve this yourself, if you are not comfortable with electrical testing, it might be prudent to visit a workshop. Early diagnosis of suspension system issues can prevent further damage.

Thank you for your assistance. The cable to the compressor was indeed defective. Replacing it, as you suggested, resolved the issue, saving a significant amount compared to replacing the entire compressor and other suspension components. The final cost was 95€. I appreciate your insights.

I have a similar concern with my Mini Cooper, though not the Paceman variant. It sounds very much like a compressor failure within the air suspension system. Have you checked the fuses related to the air suspension? A blown fuse could prevent the compressor from operating, mimicking a complete compressor failure. Furthermore, inspect the compressor itself for any physical damage, such as cracks or corrosion. Given the mileage, it is plausible that a suspension component like a connector might have degraded. From my experience, load leveling issues can cascade into other problems, so addressing it promptly is wise. I would also consider checking the suspension components such as the ride height sensors. Do you have access to a diagnostic tool that can read the specific error codes stored in the system?
