Mini Paceman Cruise Control Not Working

My 2013 Mini Paceman's cruise control has stopped working. The car has km on it. No matter what I do, it just won't engage. I did a scan, and it shows an error stored in the error memory. From what I've read, a likely cause is a defective cable or plug connection. Any ideas where I should start looking?

Cruise control issues can be tricky. I had a similar problem with my Mini a while back. First thing to check is the fuse box – look for a blown fuse related to the cruise control system. Also, does the dashboard light for cruise control illuminate at all when you try to engage it? Have you tried wiggling the wires near the steering wheel controls?

Thanks, that's helpful. Which fuse should I be looking at specifically? And when you say 'wiggling the wires', do you mean taking apart the steering wheel column?

I don't remember the exact fuse number, sorry. As for the wires, no need to take anything apart just yet. Gently manipulate the wires you can access near the steering wheel controls. If that doesn't work and you've checked the fuses, it might be best to have a workshop take a look. They can pinpoint the exact location of the defective connection.

Just wanted to update that I took the Paceman to the workshop, and the diagnostic confirmed a defective cable/plug connection. 95€ later, the cruise control is working perfectly again. Thanks for your help!
