Thanks for the quick reply. Regarding the throttle valve, do you remember if your check engine light also came on? What exactly did you notice with the air flow? I'm trying to gather as much information as possible before taking it to the workshop.

Yes, the check engine light definitely came on for me as well. The garage mentioned something about the air flow being disrupted due to the valve not opening and closing properly. That was causing the response delay and the rough engine idling. If it's the throttle valve, it might be best to get it checked at a workshop soon.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I took my Mini Paceman to the workshop, and it turned out to be a defective throttle valve, as you suspected. The accelerator pedal module had issues. The repair cost was 265€. Hopefully, this will fix the problem permanently.

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my Mini Cooper, although the engine stuttered a bit more. It could be the throttle valve. Has the air flow been checked? A faulty valve can cause a response delay and trigger limp mode. It's worth investigating the electronics inside.
