Mini Paceman diesel fuel filter heater issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Mini Paceman diesel is experiencing issues with the fuel filter heater, leading to reduced engine power, poor response, higher fuel consumption, and uneven idling. The diagnostic suggests a defective cable or plug connection to the fuel filter heater as the cause. A similar case was resolved by checking and repairing the cable connection, which is recommended to be handled by a professional.

You mentioned a similar issue. Was the error memory also indicating a fuel filter heater problem? Can you elaborate on what you found and how you resolved it? Was it also just a defective cable or plug connection?

Yes, the error memory indicated a problem with the fuel filter heater too. I checked the connections myself, but ultimately I brought it to a workshop. They confirmed it was a cable issue. It's best to let a professional deal with the fuel line and diesel engine.

Acknowledged. It was indeed the fuel filter heater cable. The repair cost 95€. Thanks for the advice. I trust this will resolve the engine stalling, rough idle and higher fuel consumption issues I was experiencing.

I had similar symptoms in my Paceman. Check the fuel filter and its connections. A faulty fuel line can cause a rough idle, and reduced engine power, especially in diesel engines. Is the filter itself old?
