Mini Paceman Electrical Issues

I hope someone can help me! My 2016 Mini Paceman is showing some worrying symptoms. The car starts poorly, and various systems are failing. I've also noticed weak and flickering lights and a weak battery when starting the engine. My initial thought is that it's a heavily discharged or defective battery. Could it be something else?

I had a similar issue with my Mini Countryman. It sounds like you have a voltage drop somewhere. Have you checked the charging system? An alternator issue can also cause undervoltage. I would check the voltage regulator too. Does the voltage drop happen only when starting the engine, or also while driving?

In my case, the undervoltage was due to a defective battery. The mechanic checked the charging system and confirmed that the alternator was working correctly. It's best to have a workshop check your car's battery and charging system. They can properly diagnose the issue.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It was indeed the battery, heavily discharged. The workshop confirmed this and replaced it. It cost me 290€, but now my Paceman runs smoothly again!
