Mini Paceman Exhaust Issue

My 2015 Mini Paceman is exhibiting exhaust issues. The exhaust noise is louder than usual, and there's a noisy engine running sound after cold starts. Error memory indicates a fault with the exhaust flaps. Suspect a defective exhaust flap. Any insights before I pursue exhaust repair?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Mini Cooper S. Exhaust noise got noticeably louder, especially on cold starts. I'd check the wiring to the flap motor first, could just be a loose connection. Do you have access to a diagnostic tool to read the fault codes?
