Mini Paceman fuel filler flap problem
Summary of the thread
The 2015 Mini Paceman had a problem with the fuel filler flap release not working, accompanied by an error code and some unavailable functions. The issue was suspected to be a defective linkage or cable release. After checking the fuses and confirming the central locking system was functioning, it was suggested that the problem likely lay with the electric actuator or its wiring. The actuator was identified as the faulty component and was replaced at a workshop, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the fuses, and they all seem to be fine. I can't hear any sound at all coming from the fuel filler flap area when I press the release button or use the key fob. And yes, the central locking is working perfectly; no issues there. What does that suggest?

Given that the fuse is intact, there's no sound from the electric actuator, and the central locking is functioning correctly, it does strongly suggest a failure within the electric actuator itself, or potentially the wiring leading directly to it. While it's always wise to double-check the wiring for any obvious damage, based on the information you have provided and the stored error code, a faulty actuator is the most probable cause. The estimated repair cost of 210€ also aligns with what I would expect for an actuator replacement at a workshop. I would recommend taking your Mini Paceman to a qualified workshop for a diagnosis and repair.

Just wanted to update on this fuel filler flap issue. I took the Mini Paceman to a workshop and they confirmed it was the electric actuator that had failed. They replaced it for the quoted 210€. Everything's working perfectly again now, so thanks a lot for the advice!

Regarding your fuel filler flap issue on your 2015 Mini Paceman, it sounds like you've already identified the key symptoms. The error code and unavailable functions are certainly indicative of an electrical problem, especially given the age and mileage. Have you checked the fuse related to the fuel filler flap release mechanism? It would also be useful to determine if you can hear any sound at all coming from the electric actuator when you press the release button, either on the key fob or inside the car. This could help differentiate between a completely dead actuator and one that's receiving power but is jammed or mechanically faulty. Finally, does the central locking system work without any issues?
