Mini Paceman Headlight Range Control Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Mini Paceman diesel is experiencing a headlight range control issue, with an error stored in memory and a warning light on the speedometer. The low beam is misaligned, shining either too high or too low. The likely cause is identified as a defective servomotor in the headlight. The suggested solution is to visit a workshop for repair, which resolves the issue.

I did check the fuses, and they seem fine. Regarding the light intensity, I haven't noticed any changes when starting the engine. However, I'm not sure about bumps. How would that indicate a problem?

Bumps could point to a temporary connection issue, but since you have a stored error and incorrect beam direction, the servomotor is likely the problem as you suspect. Given the adaptive headlights and range control issues, a workshop visit is probably the best course of action.

Thank you for your input. I took the car to a workshop and, as suspected, the servomotor in the headlight was defective. Repair costs amounted to 1040€. Everything is working correctly now.

Faulty headlight range control can be tricky. Have you checked the fuses related to the lighting system? Also, does the light intensity change at all when you start the engine or drive over bumps?
