Mini Paceman Oil Level Sensor Error

Alright, this is driving me absolutely bonkers My 2014 Mini Paceman diesel keeps throwing up an oil level sensor error. I get the warning light, a message in the speedometer, and the oil pressure light sometimes flickers too The error memory says 'oil level sensor signal faulty'. I read online that it could be a defective cable or plug. Could this be the sensor issue Anyone else have this problem A repair could be 95€

Sounds familiar I had something similar happen with my Mini also a diesel. Turns out, for me it was a dodgy connection to the oil level sensor. Did you check the wiring and the plug going to the sensor That's the first thing I would check. Also, do you know if the sensor itself is actually faulty, or just the signal

Thanks for the tip Where exactly is that sensor located And how did you figure out it was the connection and not the sensor itself It's driving me nuts seeing that warning light all the time

Mine was the same symptoms, so I'm pretty sure it's the connection. Best thing to do, if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself, is to take it to a reliable workshop. They can check the wiring and sensor properly. Much better than guessing and potentially damaging something

Update on my oil sensor issue I took my Mini Paceman to the workshop, and you were spot on faulty cable connection to the oil level sensor. They fixed it for 95€, and the error message is finally gone Thanks a bunch for the help and advice
