Mini Paceman Radar Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Mini Paceman owner experienced issues with the radar sensor, leading to error messages, disabled safety systems, and warning lights. The problem was suspected to be caused by a dirty sensor. Cleaning the sensor with a soft cloth and mild soapy water resolved the issue, restoring the vehicle's functionality and clearing the error messages. It was suggested that a professional workshop visit might be necessary for proper diagnosis and potential radar calibration.

That's interesting! Where exactly is the radar sensor located on the Paceman? And what did you use to clean it? I don't want to damage anything. Also, did you have to do any radar calibration afterwards?

Yes, the sensor on mine was behind the front bumper. I just used a soft cloth and some mild soapy water. Be gentle. I would recommend a visit to the workshop. They'll be able to properly diagnose it and perform a radar calibration if needed. It's crucial for your safety systems to function correctly.

Just wanted to give an update! You were spot on! Turns out the radar sensor was just filthy! Gave it a good clean, and everything is working perfectly again. The error message is gone, and all the safety systems are back online. Cost me 45€ for the cleaning. Thanks a million for your help!

I had a similar issue with my Countryman. Same radar sensor failure symptoms, warning lights and error messages. It might be a simple fix. Have you checked the sensor itself for dirt or obstructions? These automotive sensors are sensitive.
