Mini Paceman reduced engine power after chip tuning
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Mini Paceman diesel experienced reduced engine power and a dashboard warning light, suspected to be linked to previous chip tuning. The issue was identified as being caused by a faulty remap, leading to overboost and limp mode. The solution was to revert the car's settings back to stock, which resolved the problem.

Limp mode is exactly what I experienced. Yeah, I did a vehicle diagnostics check with an auto scanner, and it flagged a fault code pointing to overboost. Was your problem definitely the remap, or could it be something else?

Yep, pretty sure it was the remap. The car computer was throwing all sorts of spurious errors. If the car is in limp mode and you're getting overboost codes after a remap, chances are it's the map itself causing the problem. Best bet is to get it checked out at a garage.

Just wanted to give you a heads up. Turns out it was the remap causing the issue. Got the car put back to stock, and she's running like a dream. Cost me 180€ to get it sorted. Thanks again for your help!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Paceman after a dodgy remap. The dashboard light came on, and the car went into limp mode. Did you use an auto scanner to pull the codes?
