Mini Paceman transfer case and gearbox issues

Alright, I'm experiencing some frustrating issues with my 2013 Mini Paceman diesel. The transfer case seems to be throwing the car into limp mode. I'm also noticing some slippage and generally unclean shifts from the gearbox. From what I've gathered, it seems like the problem might be consequential, stemming from potential faults within the ABS system, potentially activating the traction control inadvertently. Has anyone else run into something similar?

I had a similar issue with my Paceman. The gearbox was acting up, and I was getting a powertrain malfunction warning. Check the control module, it might be faulty.

Thanks for the quick reply. When you say 'control module', are you referring to the ABS control module specifically, or something else? Did you also experience the limp home mode activating? Any specific diagnostic trouble codes that might point me in the right direction?

Yes, the ABS control module. And yes, it did go into limp home mode. I didn't get any specific codes myself, but the workshop identified it pretty quickly. Best to get it checked out by a professional.

Just wanted to say thanks for the input. Turns out the issue was a faulty ABS sensor causing knock-on effects with the traction control and transfer case. All sorted now, and the best part? It was covered under warranty, so zero cost to me. Appreciate the help.
