Mini Paceman Transmission Issue Resolved

I am experiencing a troubling issue with my 2013 Mini Paceman diesel. The transmission indicator light and check engine light are illuminated. The automatic transmission is in emergency mode and shifts erratically, accompanied by grinding noises. Error memory indicates a potential issue with the radiator oil pressure. Could a defective cable or plug connection be the culprit?

Whoa, sounds rough! I had something similar happen with my Paceman. The gearbox was acting all kinds of crazy. Transmission light was on, felt like driving a tractor. Have you checked the oil cooler? That's where my gremlins were hiding.

Interesting. When you say oil cooler, are you referring to the lines running to the radiator for cooling system? Or was it specifically the pressure gauge or pressure sensor itself that gave you trouble?

Yeah, the oil cooler lines to the radiator. It messed with the pressure sensor reading, like a bad thermostat telling the system lies. Honestly, I’d get it checked at a workshop to be sure. Save yourself the headache.

Problem resolved. As suspected, it was a faulty connection on the pressure sensor. Radiator repair was simple enough, just needed the connection fixed. Total cost was 95€. Thanks for your input.
