Mini Paceman Turbo Issue Resolved
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Mini Paceman was experiencing issues such as a check engine light, jerking during acceleration, a whistling noise, engine stalling, increased fuel consumption, and reduced power. The suspected cause was a faulty boost pressure sensor or its connection. After checking hoses and the intercooler, the problem was confirmed to be a dodgy sensor connection. Replacing the sensor and adjusting the wiring resolved the issues, eliminating the whistling noise and restoring normal engine performance.

When you had those symptoms on your Paceman, was it also specifically the cable or the plug connection of the sensor that was causing the issue? I've checked the hoses and intercooler, and they seem fine, so I'm leaning towards the sensor being the culprit.

Yes, the problem was located in the pressure sensor, but I decided to take the car to the workshop. You should also consider visiting the workshop. I paid 95€

Right, I've sorted it. Turns out it was as you suggested – a dodgy boost pressure sensor connection. New sensor and a bit of fiddling with the wiring, and she's running like a champ again. Whistling's gone, no more jerking, and the CEL is finally off. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction; that saved me a ton of diagnostic time.

Sounds like you've got a boost leak somewhere in your turbo system. I had similar symptoms on my Paceman – check engine light, loss of power, and even the whistling noise. The pressure sensor is a good place to start. Have you inspected the hoses and intercooler for any cracks or loose connections?
