Mini Roadster audio system malfunction

Given that the fuses are fine and the Bluetooth connection establishes but produces no audio, a hardware fault within the head unit is the more likely culprit. While a software issue is possible, the combination of symptoms, including the stored error code, points to a failure within the display unit itself. Unfortunately, these units are often integrated with the audio amplifier, which would explain the complete lack of sound. Given the estimated cost and the likely diagnosis, taking it to a qualified workshop for replacement is the prudent course of action.

I have checked the fuses, and they appear to be in good order. As for the Bluetooth, the system recognizes my phone and shows that it's connected, but there is no audio output at all. Could a software glitch be the cause, or is a hardware fault more probable in your opinion?

Thank you for the information. It seems that the diagnosis was indeed accurate. The display unit was replaced, and the sound system is now functioning correctly. The final bill was in line with your estimate.

The symptoms you describe certainly point to a potential display issue, especially with an error code stored. However, before condemning the unit, have you checked the fuses related to the audio system? A blown fuse can sometimes mimic a more serious fault. Also, is the Bluetooth connectivity completely non-functional, or is it just the audio output that is affected?
