Mini Roadster Brake Fluid Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Mini Roadster diesel is experiencing low brake fluid and unusual brake pedal feedback. The issue may be due to worn brakes, air in the brake system, or a potential leak. It is advised to inspect the brake lines for leaks, especially around the wheel connections, and to consult a workshop for a thorough check. The problem was ultimately identified as worn front brakes.

The warning light does come on intermittently. Where exactly should I check for leaks in the brake system?

If the warning light is intermittent with low brake fluid, topping it off isn't the solution, as the fluid level is dropping for a reason. Check around each wheel for any wet spots, that's where the brake lines connect to the calipers. Given the symptoms, it's best to have a workshop take a look at your car brakes.

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice. Turns out it was worn front car brakes, like you suggested. Cost me 480€ to get sorted.

Low brake fluid usually triggers the warning light. Are you getting any messages on the dash? Strange brake pedal feel could point to air in the brake system, or potentially a leak. Have you checked the brake lines for any obvious signs of fluid?
