Mini Roadster bypass valve error

Sounds familiar. I had similar engine overheating and even engine stalling with power loss issues on my Roadster. Was there any work done on the exhaust system recently? Check the error codes, might give you a better clue.

The error pointed to the bypass valve initially, yes. Ended up being a faulty sensor elsewhere messing with the readings. Workshop visit is your best bet to diagnose this properly.

Got it sorted, turned out the bypass valve malfunction was a ghost in the machine. A different sensor error triggered it. No car repair costs in the end.
