Mini Roadster Car Lighting Issues

Okay, I'm officially pulling my hair out! My 2014 Mini Roadster's car lighting is acting possessed. The lights switch on seemingly at random, and there's an error stored in the error memory. I'm thinking it's the headlight switch, as the most likely cause is a defective cable or plug connection. Anyone else experienced anything similar with their Mini's car lighting?

Faulty light switch wiring isn't uncommon. Does the dimmer switch affect the dashboard lights erratically as well? Have you checked the relevant fuses?

Good shout on the dimmer switch, I didn't think to check that. When you say 'relevant fuses', are there specific ones I should be looking at beyond the main lighting fuse? I'm getting a bit lost in the fuse box diagram.

Given the symptoms and error code, a defective cable or connector at the headlight switch is highly probable. Before diving deep, confirm power and ground at the switch connector with a multimeter. If you are not familiar with that I'd recommend taking it to a workshop.

Just wanted to give an update. Took the Mini to the shop, and you were spot on. They found a dodgy connector on the headlight switch harness. 95€ later and all the lights are working perfectly. Thanks again for the help!
