Which fuse was it in your case? Was there an error stored in the error memory?

I do not remember the exact fuse number. And yes, there was an error code, but I cannot recall what it was. It is probably best to get it checked professionally if you suspect a defective cable. Could save you some headaches.

It was indeed a defective cable connection, as suspected. 95€ later, central locking is functional again. Thanks for the input.

I had a similar problem with my Mini Cooper. The remote locking stopped working intermittently. Did you check the fuses related to the security system? Maybe that's the culprit, although it could also be the locking mechanism itself.
