Mini Roadster Diesel Going Bonkers

Alright, 2015 Mini gurus, I'm officially losing my mind! My Mini Roadster diesel has gone completely bonkers. Keeps kicking into transfer case limp mode, and the gearbox shifts like it's got a mind of its own all slippy and unclean. I'm thinking it might be consequential faults coming from the ABS system causing the powertrain malfunction, but is that even possible? Anyone else had this? Any ideas before I sell the thing?

That sounds familiar! I had a similar scare with my Mini Roadster. Powertrain malfunction warnings popping up, traction control light going crazy, and the gearbox felt like it was made of jelly. Have you checked the diagnostic trouble codes? Could be a control module issue.

Yep, my Roadster did the exact same thing. Powertrain malfunction, traction control all lit up like a Christmas tree. Best bet is to get it to a workshop that knows Minis. They should be able to diagnose it properly. It could be a faulty ABS module messing with everything. Is it driveable as is? Probably not the best idea, you don't want to cause more damage.

Control module, huh? Interesting. So, was it definitely the ABS causing your powertrain malfunction too? And how did you sort it? Did it cost you an arm and a leg? Gear selector was all over the place, so I'm kinda worried it might be a big job to sort out the gearbox issues.

Dude, you were spot on! Took my Mini Roadster diesel to the shop, turns out it WAS the ABS module throwing everything into chaos. No cost to repair since it was a software glitch they could clear. All good now! Seriously, thanks a million!
