Mini Roadster Diesel Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Mini Roadster diesel is experiencing increased fuel consumption, reduced engine power, stalling at idle, and smoke during acceleration. These symptoms suggest a potential issue with the injection system. A defective cable or plug connection in the injection system was identified as the cause and repaired, resolving the problem.

I did notice some smoke when accelerating, yes. The air filter was changed recently during maintenance. I thought about the fuel filter, could be that, but I'm leaning towards something more complex. You mentioned your engine was struggling on acceleration, was the engine stalling too? Did you ever have issues with the engine stalling at idle?

Yes, the stalling at idle sounds familiar. The reduced power especially. I never figured out the root cause, so I just took it to a workshop. They mentioned something about the injection system. I can't remember exactly. Maybe you should get yours checked out too, if it continues.

Just wanted to update you the workshop found a defective cable or plug connection in the injection system. Apparently, that was the culprit. Repair cost was 95€. Appreciate the input.

Hey, I think I had something similar with my Mini Roadster. Higher fuel consumption and the engine felt like it was struggling, especially when accelerating. Did you notice any smoke? Have you checked the basics like air filter or fuel filter? Maybe it's something simple. Is it a Petrol or a Diesel?
